Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to commonly asked questions about our products and services.
What are the main functions of this app?
– Our application automatically pushes down out-of-stock products to the bottom of the collection and sorts in-stock products according to your chosen collection sorting criteria.
– Additionally, it hides out-of-stock products and redirects users to view other collections or products when they attempt to access out-of-stock items.
– All features operate automatically and in real-time. (However, due to Shopify limitations, it may take a few minutes for changes to reflect, depending on the volume of transactions such as orders, inventory, product, or collection updates.)
Why we should use this app?
– Our application offers several benefits. Firstly, it enhances click-through rates to available products and improves your store’s conversion rate.
– Secondly, by keeping the pages of sold-out products accessible to search engines, it preserves their SEO value and boosts organic traffic to your entire store.
– Additionally, hiding products that are not replenished ensures that your store maintains a consistently well-organized appearance.
No, if only one variant is out of stock, the product will not be treated as out of stock. A product is considered out of stock only when all of its variants are out of stock.
If I disable the push-down function of a collection, will the product positions reset to their previous positions?
Yes, disabling the push-down function for a collection will reset the product positions within that collection to their previous positions.
Why are some products not unhidden when they are back in stock?
When a product is back in stock, it will be automatically unhidden. However, the app only publishes products that were hidden by our application. It does not publish products that you manually unpublished, even if they have positive inventory.
Does the app modify the JavaScript files, theme, or UI of the store?
No, the app does not change your JavaScript files, theme, UI, or any functions within your store.
Can I push down out-of-stock products on the catalog page?
All Shopify stores have a page at the URL: your-store.com/collections/all, that lists all of the store’s visible products. It is the store’s catalog page, so it’s not a collection; our application cannot access this page, and therefore, it cannot push down products on this page. To push down products on this page, you have to create an “All products” collection. To create it, you can follow this tutorial: Change your catalog page. After that, you can enable push down for the created collection on the app.
Do the hiding/unhiding features apply to all products or only products in enabled collections?
The hiding/unhiding features apply to all products in the store, not only products in collections.
Can I push down the out-of-stock products in the search results?
Unfortunately, no. The application does not have the right to access the search results page because it doesn’t exist as a collection. Therefore, it cannot push down out-of-stock products in the search results.
If the customer changes the sorting type on the collection, are out-of-stock items pushed down to the bottom?
Unfortunately, no. Our application cannot control the pages when customers change the sorting rules. Shopify will sort products according to the customers’ chosen rule.
If an item continues selling when out of stock, how does the application handle it?
If an item is set to continue selling when out of stock, the application doesn’t consider it as out of stock even when its inventory level is zero or lower. Therefore, these products aren’t pushed down to the bottom of the collection or hidden at all. If you still want to push down these types of products, please update the Push Down settings to allow pushing down these types of items.
In Shopify Admin, if I change the sorting rule of a collection that was enabled for push down, what happens?
If you change the sorting rule of a collection in the Shopify Admin, the push-down function of that collection will still be enabled, but the new sorting rule will not be applied when pushing down out-of-stock items. To change the sorting rule of a collection, please go to the app and update the Push Down Sort Type.
How can I push down out-of-stock items in vendor collections?
The vendor collections that have links look like this: your-store.com/collections/vendors?q=brand, are virtual collections. Unfortunately, our application doesn’t have access to this type of collection. To manage vendor collections, you can create automated collections based on vendors in Shopify, follow this tutorial: Set conditions based on vendor.
Once created, you can link to these collections in your theme. Your new link looks like this: your-store.com/collections/vendors-brand.This way, our application can recognize the vendor collections, allowing you to enable the push-down feature for out-of-stock items.
